The Turtles observatory in French Polynesia, created in 2011 is an independent structure managed by the NGO Te Mana o Te Moana. It is a tool for sensibilisation and participatory management particularly important towards conservation issues.
Furthermore it participates to the other actions such as the creation of methodological guides, training courses, the promotion of new research and conservation initiatives or even the spread of material in Tahitian language.
