The SO, throughout the different Programs and Protocols survey the following main taxa:
- Algae (MPA and Tiahura)
- Coral (Polynesia Mana, MPA, ATPP, Radial of Tiahura and Coral recruits survey)
- Echinoderm (MPA and ATPP)
- Mollusc (MPA and ATPP)
- Fish (Polynesia Mana, MPA, ATPP and Radial of Tiahura)
- Phytoplancton analysing the chlorophyll (µg.ℓ-1) using the FLNTU
